Sellaband
Sellaband pioneered crowdfunding for musicians years before Kickstarter, and is really Kickstarter’s predecessor. The majority of participating artists are European, keeping it largely off US artists’ radars. Sellaband differs from the modern selection of crowd funding platforms in that it takes a 15% fee in exchange for offering pro support to see successful fundraising campaigns to fruition. Backers can also get access to exclusive content, and the community is enthusiastic about music.
