Songhack is excited to announce we’ll be attending the 15th SF MusicTech Summit in May. You can count on us to bring you the latest insights on the intersection of music, technology, and business. We’ll be live-blogging and live-tweeting throughout, so please join us. (Songhack readers who want to attend in person can take advantage of 10% off admission.)

The SF MusicTech Summit is well-known as a gathering of industry luminaries to share successes and challenges, and plot a course forward for the business of music. We’ll be hanging with many of the folks that run the over 100 digital products and services for musicians that we cover on this site.

Here’s what we’re looking forward to the most among the speakers announced so far:

  • Dave Allen, Gang of Four alumni and recently appointed Director of Artist & Music Industry Advocacy for Beats Music sharing insights from his new role.
  • Kyel Bylin, co-host of the excellent Upward Spiral podcast, lead writer at the must-read Hypebot, and author of the illuminating Divergent Streams, opening up on the future of music.
  • Dr. Aram Sinnreich, author of 2013’s highly recommended The Piracy Crusade: How the Music Industry’s War on Sharing Destroys Markets and Erodes Civil Liberties sharing his unique perspective as scholar and musician.
  • Brian Zisk, executive producer of the Summit, also Co-Fouder and Technologies Director of the awesome Future of Music Coalition, holding court for the 15th edition of his venerable and must-attend music business conference.
  • Head over to the SFMusicTech website for more info, or get discounted tickets and rub elbows with industry leaders (and us.)

We’ll have more coverage leading up to the conference, tune in!
